History

The ThaiRoads Foundation, a non-profit organization, was established in 2009 with the encouragement and support from the Thai Health Promotion Foundation and the Academic Centre for Road Safety, the National Health Foundation. The Foundation establishment’s key objectives are to develop and manage road safety data and knowledge, conduct evidence-based research to improve understanding of issues relating to road traffic accidents for effective design and planning of road safety policies and measures in Thailand, as well as to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of such policies and measures to ensure the efficient use of resources.
